BRELKO products are primarily intended  to assist in the control of spillage, carryback and dust, as well as promoting  trouble-free flow of material at belt conveyor transfer and load points.

Solar Water Pumping Systems

SOLASTAR uses nature's most reliable and free asset - the sun. Specially  designed for rugged environments and extreme climatic conditions, SOLASTAR  is a fully integrated, cost-effective Submersible Solar Powered Water  Pumping System requiring minimal skills to install in inaccessible and  remote areas.

Applications for solar water pumps are diverse and include stock and  game watering from boreholes, rivers and dams, as well as water supply  for farm homesteads, holiday homes, water supply for rural communities,  clinics, schools etc. Applications can also be used for individual irrigation  purposes.

SOLASTAR replace the tradtional windmills and petrol / diesel pumps  in most circumstances, and is therefore ideal for all-pupose economic  water pumping installations where there is no viable electricity supply.

FEATURES:

 The SOLASTAR operates on the positive displacement principle, utilizing  DIVWATT'S advanced linear, reciprocating floating piston design, (Patents  pending worldwide). The pistons are isolated from the borehole water  by ultra high strenght synthetic rubber seals. Pistons displacement  or movement is restricted to a maximum of 1mm. which ensures long, service  life. No oil lubrication is used on its moving parts as is customary  with piston pumps.

SOLASTAR's DCmotors are specifically designed for  solar water pumping, resulting in maximum reliability under extreme  conditions and minimal expected brush changes (7 years plus). This ventilated,  permanent magnet design motor uses an uninque alloy commutator and brush  compound, which optimizes its service life to a time span similar to  the mechanical parts of the pump.

SOLASTAR,manufactured exclusively from highest quality  brass, bronze and stainless steel components, has minimum moving parts.

SOLAR POWER OPTIMISER

SOLASTAR features a unique, custom-design Solar Power  Optimiser (SPO) mounted on the panel stand.

The SPO is an electronic device that monitors the power supplied by the  solar array and automatically converts it to the volt / amps ratio required  by the pump to render optimum speed / torque for varying ambient light  conditions.

A built-in patented auto start circuit assists in the starting of the  motor on low light conditions, thereby assuring early morning starting  and efficient operation under conditions of heavy cloud cover.

An intergral control circuit supplied with the elctronics can be connectected  to a manual / float switch to stop and start the motor, if required.

WATER REQUIREMENTS

The size of solar water pumping system depends on the volume of water  required. Once this has been assessed, the most cost effective SOLASTAR  can be selected and installed. Use the following table to calculate  your needs.

• All above SOLASTAR systems use SOLAREX MSX-60 (watt) solar modules  i.e.
  SOLASTAR 2 & 2 (L) = 2 modules;
  SOLASTAR 3 & 3 (L) = 3 modules;
  SOLASTAR 4 & 4 (L) = 4 modules;
  SOLASTAR 5 & 5 (L) = 5 modules;
• The above daily flow rates are averages, taking account of the changing  seasons and different solar insolation levels in southerns africa. Variance  in delivery of up t o 20% either way on above figures are not uncommon.
• The heads shown above are "net" regardless of the depth  of the setting level - changes in the level of submersion under water  does not affect the dailty output.
• All above pumps are capable of pumping heads to 200m provided certain  modifications are made in our factory. Such modifications are available  on request at an additional charge.
• Custom designed systems are quoted on request. Motors up to 420w,  solar arrays up to 480w.
